“Just awesome” is how Triangle financial consultant Lori Williams describes WebUneek. “I’m thrilled with Kevin Kirkman’s work!” Her business is all about relationships but perhaps Lori Williams' most crucial links to the outside world are actually her annually updated brochures. She calls them “crucial to the business.”
When Williams met Kirkman – accidentally, at a networking brunch – three years ago, she probably wouldn’t have predicted such a long-term business alliance. But why tinker with success? “Everyone comments on how good my brochures always look. They’re unique, great quality. The layout and design are very appealing. Kevin has the gifts and the talent to fit his clients’ needs,” explained Williams.
“Oh, I’ve referred others to him, including my husband,” Lori Williams exclaims, “and I certainly will again!”
A Raleigh boutique for Tweens, Teens, Princesses and Queens, Aly’s is a niche market that needed a different look and a certain style for its Website, explained owner Susanne Lury.
“We asked WebUneek to change things around and make the Aly’s site look better. We wanted more color, a certain background. Visually we knew what we wanted. Kevin Kirkman did everything we needed and made it all look great,” Lury added.
“While we do the majority of our business in our Aly’s retail shop in Raleigh,” she said, “we wanted to set up a site that could handle e-commerce. Lately, we’ve been doing more and more e-business from our Website. We keep asking WebUneek for harder and harder things.”
“Kevin Kirkman comes through for us, again and again!”
“WebUneek is able to solve any problems we have and they do it all in a timely way,” says an enthusiastic Lury. “We really like working with Kevin!”
Triangle Real Estate agent Stu Barnes, AKA RealtorStu.com, says he inevitably and frequently hears the same common complaints about realtors’ Websites. “Potential home buyers and sellers tell me all the time that the majority of the sites have way too much information which makes them very confusing,” he explained.
When clients visit a realtor’s Website, they just want it to be easy. But generally, realtors’ sites are just the opposite. Home buyers are drawn to Websites that make it simple and quick to find the listings they’re looking for. Now, RealtorStu.com does just that.
“When I first met with Kevin Kirkman, I just told him the feel I was looking for with my RealtorStu.com site,” said Barnes. He explained to Kevin that he wanted to stop making it so tough for potential clients. “We inadvertently add to their stress when what we really should be doing is to un-complicate the whole process and make it fun and playful for them,” Barnes says. “Kevin understood just what I wanted to do.”
“And when he sent a rough draft for the design of the site, I didn’t change a thing. It’s unique. Kevin also took some technical aspects of the site and made them much easier and simpler to navigate. Now everything is just an e-mail away.”
Carmen Miller’s past experiences with Web designers had been annoying and frustrating, certainly less than positive. So much so, that when she decided to start Pinky Toes, planning extraordinary, unique parties for little girls, she hesitated to work with yet another Web designer. Now she’s so glad she let WebUneek change her outlook – maybe even her life!
“Working with Kevin has been a great experience. I’ve been very pleased. What I like most about Kevin is that he really listened before he came up with our logo and Web design. I had a very clear idea, a vision for what I wanted. He was open-minded, supportive and encouraging about my ideas. When he did our design, I did not make one change – We didn’t have to keep going back and forth for him to get it right. I didn’t have to go back at all!
For a party planner and boutique owner, it’s all about image. “That initial impression is everything, especially in this business,” she explained
