WebUneek gives local boutique national reach through new online shop

Raleigh, NC, December 2, 2008 – Local web development and hosting company WebUneek recently launched Pinky Toes Party Palace’s online boutique, enabling it to expand its reach nationwide. Pinky Toes Party Palace has been selling kids’ accessories, apparel and room décor items through its two retail party locations in Cary and Fuquay-Varina NC for nearly 2 years, and owner Carmen Miller felt that sales could expand if customers were allowed to shop from home or office 24-7-365 – and if her store could reach a national audience. With a full merchant infrastructure in the stores however, Ms. Miller did not want to experience the costs and headaches of an inventory, payment and sales-tracking overhaul.

The web presence team at WebUneek, led by Kevin Kirkman, delivered on her goal. They incorporated the online shopping cart functionality into Pinky Toes’ existing site, integrated it with the existing merchant account, and also integrated the shipping process so it could all be handled right from the site. Even better, the online store is still based on a user-maintained Content Management System, making day-to-day changes and updates easy and cost-efficient for the store staff to do on their own. “The WebUneek team delivered exactly what we were looking for: an attractive and easy-to-use shopping experience for customers, and an easy-to-use, efficient system for us,” said Ms. Miller.

WebUneek has been helping clients in the Raleigh area develop unique and effective websites since 2002. They specialize in creating custom site designs that give prospects a feel for what a business is like even before they walk in the door or pick up the phone – especially important for online stores where this may be their only interaction with the retailer. For smaller businesses they frequently prefer to use an “open source content management system” or CMS, that clients are largely able to maintain on their own.

Pinky Toes Party Palace offers mothers and daughters in the Triangle area the chance to enjoy a magical, dream birthday party. Pinky Toes Party Palace was born out of the frustration of Carmen Miller, herself a mother of four, who had hosted many birthday parties and been let-down by the stress that they created and the lack of shared experience between her and her children during the event. By choosing any one of the eight available themes, young ladies and their parents enjoy two hours of birthday fun, complete with a white, tulle-covered table set with fine china, an age appropriate craft, a complete meal, and unique goodie bags. With the addition of franchise opportunities, Ms. Miller is now helping other women establish themselves as entrepreneurs by bringing the ideal party experience to their hometowns. Adding to existing locations in Fuquay-Varina and Cary, NC, the first franchise location will open in March 2009 in Robbinsville NJ. For more information contact Carmen Miller at (919) 557-0040.
